Fourth of July!

 At Carol and Ron's annual fourth of July BBQ - the kids had so much fun, and then of course rounding the night off with street fireworks

 The first fireworks terrified Annabelle - She really seemed to enjoy them later though from behind the closed gate:)

Fourth of July Hot Air Balloon Launch

 We went to the annual hot air balloon launch on Tuesday, July 3rd.  Jack is dressed up as a clone trooper because he was hoping the Darth Vader Balloon would be there again this year, no such luck, but we had a really good time! I think it is the first year that the weather cooperated well enough, no wind so ALL the balloons could launch, fly and land again - it was awesome!

 We were right next to the smokey bear balloon, I love that one! Jack said they were all his favorites, and Annabelle's favorite was the pink pig balloon.

Jack's 5th birthday party with the family was a blast! All Avenger's themed, hence all the fun costumes:)

 From us, just before the party started, he got a bow and arrow (it was needed for the games)

 A super cool iron man blaster from Aunt Brittany, Uncle Dave and the kids. After the party was over Jack decided to be spiderman and brought Tink the Iron Man costume:)

Evening at the Zoo

 This weekend was so busy, we had 3 flower events! Check out the blossoms blog to see how they turned out, so after our last delivery which was in SLC, I wanted to give the kids a treat for being so patient and good and we went to the zoo.  We started out on the train...

 Then went to see the monkey's.

These and the lemurs were so fun to watch, they would hang from their tails, tackle each other, climb on door hinges, pounce from boulder to boulder - even though it was 102 degrees, it was evening and really didn't feel that hot, and the animals feeding time so they were more active, too.

 The kids faces were classic while watching the elephants:)

 They opened up a whole new section of the zoo this year with eagles (Jack in the eagle nest), polar bears, grizzlies and seals. Annabelle's favorite was watching the seals swim.  I loved how clean they kept the tanks!

 Observing the sleeping tiger - Annabelle was so excited when he woke up and started yawning, she kept walking around growling and then making big yawns and pointing to her mouth and the tiger - she thought it was really awesome:)

 The carousel ride - couldn't get her to ride an animal, but she was very happy on the bench.  And Jack LOVED the bengal tiger
