Saturday I got my new phone in the mail, Yeahy! I went to charge it, and I hear Jack talking on the phone, knowing there's no sim card, I wasn't too concerned. Mom asks me who he's talking to and I say noone, he's pretending to talk to Ciocia Ada saying things like:
Hey Ciocia, Jack see big car accident, big fire, Jack rescue people.
Well, then I heard a voice on the other end, turns out he had called 911 and was talking to dispatch! She needed my info so I was giving it to her, then the battery went dead, oops:)

He Has An Idea
Yesterday was a gorgeous day, so Jack and I went to the park. There we made a new little friend whose name is Christian, Jack called him JoJo (I don't know so please don't ask:)) he will be referred to as JoJo from here out.
JoJo was 5 and quite the chatter box, he was very proud of himself for being taller than Jack at 2.5:) they were playing great, chasing each other, climbing the slides and riding down the fire pole. JoJo liked to pull Jack down the slide, and Jack thought he was 'rescuing' him. Finally he didn't want to do that anymore and said "Mommy, you help JoJo, you push him!"
Anyways, the play went on for awhile when 2 other boys, also 5 year olds came to play. JoJo wanted to expand his circle, but Jack didn't want to 'share' his new friend. He tried getting him away from the boys, even saying things like "JoJo, you Jack's friend!" JoJo would turn to me every once in awhile and say, "I have no idea what he's saying," odd, I thought, I understand everything he says;)
Finally, you could see Jack's wheels turning in his head, and he runs to me asking for my firetruck (Jack and I each have one specific one most places we go, and NOONE is allowed to touch them besides us). He asked for my firetruck and gave it to JoJo, Bribing him to be his friend! Where does he learn these things?! Well, it worked, and they were playing together again. All the sudden Jack yells "I have an idea" and runs to the hills (this is normal) JoJo started chasing him and I asked where they were going, JoJo turns to me and says "He has an idea!" (in a duhh type of way). Little did he know that Jack's real idea was bribery and getting a friend all to himself:)

My Birthday!
So today's my 27th birthday, wow how time flies! It's been a pretty great day so far, actually starting last night:)
Jack sang me Happy Birthday right before drifting off to dream land, and after he finished he looked at our pictures and said
"Mommy's a princess and mommy is sooo cute:)" (love that little monkey!)
And earlier a lady stopped by the house and asked me "is your mommy home?" I was confused, should I say, yes, she's trying to stop my naked son from climbing over the gate to greet you? I ended up saying I own the house, turned out she was looking for the neighbor, who is my age, I haven't been asked that question in awhile!
Then this morning I came into the office to find this waiting for me! My coworkers are great! We had a really good laugh! Girls, we have a Jacob for our Eclipse party now!

Planting Our Garden
Jack helped me make and bury all the rows and then water them.
He is so cute doing this, he watered the strawberries and one row of carrots, then realized that he was dirty - "Mommee, Jack all muddy!" in a very concerned voice. So he commenced washing his feet, while standing in the mud:)

Firefighters and Their Toys
Stephen invited us up to watch as the firefighters got to learn/play with their new toys yesterday. They got some new top-of-the-line cutting equipment. Jack was in heaven watching them! I made sure he had his turn outs on as well. And goggles and radio for safety:) He was such a proud firefighter!

Tree-Be-Gone
Stephen has been wanting to cut our trees since we moved in. I have managed to save them for 3 years:) It's actually not as bad as I thought it would be. And as a plus side we can now use our fire place next winter.
Before
This one was my request, I really love this tree, mostly because it provides our only shade in our football sized yard. So I was able to save 1/2 of it:)
Now our next projects:
- I just bought a trampoline yesterday for $15 bucks!!! That's right, I'm super proud of myself for that. Stephen's buddy is going to bring over a back hoe and dig a hole for it.
- Sprinklers, sprinklers, sprinklers. This'll be great to have done, no more trenches in the yard to break our legs in.
- Laying sod - not everywhere, but someplaces are very crucial as I raked so well last fall that it's all dirt (in prepping for sod)
- Vegetable Garden! Yeahy! Can't wait to start planting again! Jack is already practicing digging with his shovel with me.
- Fixing the front fence so Jack/dogs can't get out through the gap.
Lucky Stephen, he get's to do most of these on his own this year because of my pregnancy. I think he is getting tired of my honey-do list:)

Jack-a-thons
My Jack-Jack, he says the cutest things! I haven't been writing them down in the past, but I really don't want to forget. So here are some Jack-a-thons:
bullulluterfly (aka butterfly)
ballallaloon (aka balloon)
That bad (fill in blank) hurt my Jack. (the best example for above is my favorite):
Mommeee! Jack's bad hand threw my nuk! You go get it. (this is lately before nap time when we just aren't quite ready to fall asleep)
Mommy a princess (when looking at the wedding pictures in our bedroom)
Mommy so beautiful with green lips (whenever I put make-up on, he likes to call red green)
Can't think of anymore right now, but I'll keep adding.
