Happy Birthday Stephen!

Happy 34th Birthday Stephen! Good Luck with all those candles, good thing the boys are helping you:)

Mountain Man Rendezvous

Sunday we went to Wyoming to visit Mike and Kathy and go to the Mountain Man Rendezvous. Here are the kids ringing the Freedom Bell

Sheep Dog Festival

Saturday Jack, Babi and I were able to go to the Sheepdog Festival in Midway. It was a blast! The first thing we saw was the Splash Dog Contest. These dogs would jump off the plank into a pool of water, the record I think was 26 feet! While the lowest was 3 feet:) This was a pair of golden retrievers that would run the plank, step gently into the water, and then retrieve the ball, getting the biggest applause and laughs:) They were very proud of themselves.

Look at him Jump!

Jack thought this was pretty cool

Next we walked down the hill to see the sheep herding contest.
The dogs would follow their owners whistles, finding the sheep up the hill, and then herding them down through two sets of gates and into the corral! They had 15 minutes to do this in, it was so neat to see! And no barking involved.

Jack was a little busy on the bleachers during this competition:) He did like the sheep and couldn't understand why they would run away from him when he would yell "Come Here Sheep!!" He also got to pet one of the sheep dogs after he was done competing and soaking in a tub of water. The dogs look a lot like Kika, but with a tail, this was very strange to Jack, who isn't familiar with dogs with tails and kept picking it up and giving me funny looks.

Next, Pony Rides!! You can't tell by this face, but the boy loves to ride and says "Yee Haw!" while he's on top

Petting Zoo - the camel didn't really want the hay, so Jack decided to brush its hair with the hay

Cow Milking fun

Bean Bag throwing

What a great day!

Thanksgiving Farms

We were lucky enough to hang out with Gavin all day. We went to the Thanksgiving Point Farms. Jack couldn't get enough of the animals, but Gavin's very favorite were the turkeys:) Both boys were gobbling, and as you see, trying to get in with the turkeys.

Here are the little cowboys riding the ponies, always a treat!
